Acceptance
By using vakilsaabagra.in you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
We are not a law firm
Vakil Saab Agra is an information directory. We are not a law firm, we do not practise law, and we do not provide legal advice, opinions or representation. Nothing on this website is legal advice, and no advocate–client relationship is created between you and us — or between you and any listed advocate — by reading these pages or by contacting us.
No solicitation or advertisement
Listings on this site consist of factual particulars supplied by the advocate concerned — name, enrolment number, practice areas, chamber address and contact details. They are published at the advocate’s request and are not intended to be, and should not be construed as, advertisement, solicitation, inducement or an invitation for professional work within the meaning of the Bar Council of India Rules. There is no advertisement of success rates or claims of comparative superiority anywhere on this site.
Accuracy of listings
We verify Bar Council enrolment details before publishing a profile, and we speak to each advocate directly. Even so, details such as fees, availability and chamber address can change. We make no warranty that any listing is complete, current or error-free, and you should independently satisfy yourself about an advocate’s credentials, experience and suitability before engaging them.
We publish no star ratings, review counts or any other measure of an advocate's performance, and nothing on this site should be read as a prediction of, or a guarantee about, the outcome of any matter.
Your relationship with an advocate
Any engagement you enter into is a direct contract between you and the advocate. We are not a party to it, we take no commission from it, and we accept no responsibility for the advice given, the fees charged, the conduct of the advocate or the outcome of your matter. Fee arrangements, scope of work and timelines should be agreed with your advocate directly, preferably in writing.
What we are, for advocates who list with us
Vakil Saab Agra is a technology and listing service. We build, host and maintain a listing — and, where taken, a microsite — in return for a fixed service fee agreed in advance. We are not a law firm, we do not practise law, and we are not an intermediary between an advocate and a client. We do not refer or recommend any advocate to any person, and we take no share, commission, referral fee or other part of any fee an advocate charges a client. Nothing an advocate pays us is calculated by reference to enquiries received or work obtained.
Listing fees, and what they do not promise
The service fee is payable in advance for the period chosen — monthly, half-yearly or yearly — and the current figures are sent in writing before any payment is taken. The fee pays for building and publishing the listing, keeping it available and keeping the site running.
We do not guarantee any number of enquiries, calls, clients or instructions, and we make no representation that a listing will produce work. The counts we report to an advocate — profile views and contact taps — describe what happened; they are not a forecast and not a promise. An advocate who needs a guaranteed volume of work should not buy a listing.
Cancellation and refunds
An advocate may ask for their listing to be taken down at any time, and we act on that within one working day.
Monthly plan. Cancelling stops the next month's billing. The current month is not refunded, and the listing runs to the end of it.
Six-month and yearly plans. Asked for within seven days of the listing going live, the whole fee is refunded. After seven days we refund the unused whole months, calculated at the monthly rate rather than the discounted rate that was prepaid, and not counting any month already begun — the discount is what the longer commitment bought, so it does not survive that commitment being cut short. A microsite is refunded on the same basis. Refunds go back the way the payment came, within fourteen working days.
We may end a listing ourselves, with a pro-rata refund of the unused whole months, if the enrolment details cannot be verified, if the advocate asks us to publish something we consider misleading or outside what the Bar Council of India Rules permit, or if the advocate no longer practises at Agra.
What happens if a listing is not renewed
A listing runs until the date it is paid up to. If it is not renewed by then, the profile is removed from the directory and from the sitemap, and any microsite on its own subdomain stops serving — the address will return a not-found page rather than the site. Nothing is deleted at our end: the record is kept, and renewing brings the profile and the microsite back at the same address exactly as they were.
We will normally remind an advocate before the date, but the responsibility for renewing is the advocate's, and a listing may go offline on expiry without further notice.
Acceptable use
You may use this directory to find and contact an advocate for a genuine legal requirement. You may not scrape, copy or republish listings in bulk, use contact details for marketing or spam, misrepresent yourself, or attempt to disrupt the site.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Vakil Saab Agra shall not be liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect or consequential — arising from your use of this website, from reliance on any listing, or from any engagement with a listed advocate.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Agra, Uttar Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the use of this website.
